Who is BOAS training for?

The BOAS training course is designed for practising boiler house operatives. Our BOAS course provides detailed information on basic boiler operation and maintenance, as well as educating candidates on boiler efficiency, environmental awareness and the relevant HSE legislation.

Dunphy’s BOAS training consists of a series of lectures and practical demonstrations. Learners will become familiar with the boiler suite and its components: including burners, flues, superheaters, economisers and pumps.

As the training centre is in the same place as our factory, candidates will get the added benefits of gaining hands-on experience with the best available boiler/burner technology.

Who conducts Dunphy's BOAS training?

All BOAS courses are delivered by experienced boiler operators who also hold the qualifications they teach, ensuring learners gain an in-depth understanding of both boiler theory and practice.

Course assessment method and certifications

At the end of the five-day course, Dunphy arranges formal external examination and independent assessment of participants by CEA assessors. Successful candidates will be awarded the Cert. IBO (Certified Industrial Boiler Operator) or Dip.BOM (Diploma in Boiler Plant Management) qualification.
