Inefficiencies caused by old burners can result in downtime, energy loss and high running costs. By replacing old equipment you can improve efficiency, reduce maintenance issues and create a safer environment for plant workers.
Dunphy provides burner upgrades for any make of boiler, kiln, furnace and more. All of our burners are designed, assembled and fully tested at our Rochdale Headquarters before they’re transported and fitted in your plant. This gives us the ultimate level of quality control and ensures that the final product meets your exact specifications.
Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 (MCPD)
From December 2018, all newly installed combustion equipment must comply with the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2018.
The Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD) sets out rules to control emissions of sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and dust into the air and Dunphy burners are fully compliant with these regulations.
A burner upgrade is a service that we offer to customers who need their current burner replaced and/or upgraded. Our engineers will design and install a burner that provides the same or improved level of performance, whilst improving efficiency and reducing running costs. When it comes to Dunphy’s burner upgrades, you’ll also get the added benefits of working with fully-trained engineers with decades worth of experience in the sector.
The level of service we provide can vary based on your individual requirements. We can supply the burner only, whereby you’ll choose your own supplier or engineers to carry out the installation. Alternatively, we can also carry out a full install and commission once delivered to the site, the old burner would then be removed.
Our trained engineers will complete any necessary work to ensure the equipment is fully functional with minimal downtime.
Upgrading a burner will result in improved reliability and efficiency. Whether your burner costs too much to run or regularly breaks down, these are usually tell-tale signs that your plant needs a burner upgrade.
The capital investment of a new burner can often be covered within 12-18 months of installing the new burner on sites where fuel usage is high, or where the previous plant was unreliable and resulted in large periods of unnecessary downtime.
We carry out comprehensive burner control system upgrades (either on-site or at our Rochdale HQ) for clients across the UK. This includes:
